About the event
Slay Salon is a drag figure drawing party for artists and art appreciators. This weekly open format queer approach to traditional figurative art includes drawing, painting, music, drinks, live Q&A with each drag artist as well as demos in classical drawing and painting. This event provides a fun, lively, engaging, and approachable atmosphere for figure drawing in contrast to the often isolating, competitive, and overly serious settings of historically cis-hetero dominated ateliers, academies, salons, and schools.
